David Ragan, will be racing in the showdown trying for the last spot to run in the Sprint All-Star
Challenge this Saturday night. Both Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle have already qualified because they're
among this year's race winners, former All-Star race winners or former Cup champions. This race is
for "bragging rights" and a chance to win $1 million dollars. |

David Ragan
"Lowe's Motor Speedway is an exciting track with a lot of speed and the All-Star weekend should be pretty
interesting. With no points on the line everyone is just out trying to win some money and in my case trying
to race my way into the main event. My pit crew had some great stops last week so it will be pretty cool to
see how they do Thursday night in the pit crew challenge. Last year in the Open we had a really fast car,
but got caught up in an incident on track and weren't able to race our way in. I don't plan on that happening
again and I really think this year I can race my way in."
Carl Edwards
"The All-Star race is such an awesome experience. I'm really looking forward to Saturday night, and I know
we'll have a strong Office Depot Fusion for the race. It will be a lot like Saturday night dirt track racing
with the format the way it is. Everything is a sprint to the end and you go 100 percent every lap and that's
going to be fun."
Greg Biffle
"I guess you could say that winning the Sprint All-Star Challenge is pretty much about the bragging rights and
the million dollars on the line. With no points at stake, you'll see guys race a lot more aggressively than they
normally would, maybe lift a little later than they normally would going into the corners. I know we're going out
there on Saturday night to win but that's also what 23 other teams will be doing. As far as the race itself though,
it's got to be one of the most exciting for the fans. The pre-race is usually pretty spectacular and then racing
under the lights is always a little more exciting in my opinion. Those things added to the fact that most of the
drivers are going to be a little extra aggressive usually makes for a pretty exciting race." |
