Discount Tire Team #6 looks to continued improvement at Fontana |

Stater Bros. 300 Fontana Speedway (February 23, 2008)
Looking at the fortunes David Ragan has enjoyed at Fontana, it
keeps getting better and better, progressing from 41st, to 18th
and finally to a top-10 finish in last November's race.
Anticipating this week's Stater Brothers 300, Ragan said, |

"We improved on our finish the last time, but I felt like we
could have done a lot better. We brought fast cars here in
2007 but just came up a little short at crunch time". |

"We'll take a top-10 finish, but this year we are looking to
take that next step and win a race. I am confident in this
Discount Tire team after our run at Daytona. Our pit crew
is awesome and they can really change the outcome of any
given race. I expect to run up front every week. Fontana
will be no different," Ragan concluded. |

Crew chief, Mike Kelley, mirrored David's optimism:
"The Discount Tire team has done a lot in preparation
for this weekend. The Ford Fusion is a rocket. We captured
the pole at Homestead with this car. If we take care of
business on pit road and give David an opportunity to run
up front at the end of the race, we may be in for a great
finish." |
